Gowercroft are pleased to announce our acceptance into the Made in Britain campaign.

The Made in Britain campaign group was formed in 2011 with the aim of supporting British manufacturers, encouraging sustainable growth and helping consumers, buyers and specifiers identify genuinely UK-made products.

“We’re delighted to be part of this growing community of British manufacturers, dedicated to high standards of quality and performance”

Andrew Madge, Managing Director of Gowercroft Joinery.

Gowercroft Joinery formed in 1998 and have enjoyed 22 years of uninterrupted trading in Derbyshire since then. Our products have gone on to win many awards, most notably for our work on Heritage Windows for the restoration of Sir Winston Churchills former home, Templeton House.

About Made in Britain

Made in Britain is an organisation designed to support the British manufacturing community. It is here to give a guarantee that the member is a British manufacturer, with the use of a registered collective mark. Though often emulated, the mark is protected and can only be used by a qualified business.

More than just a guarantee of UK manufacturing, the organisation also helps it’s members with sales, marketing and PR with a member’s directory, a comprehensive networking and events programme and publishing news on its website and social media channels.

Gowercroft’s membership represents our unique understanding of the UK replacement window market. We are dedicated to supplying products of the highest possible quality that are 100% manufactured by ourselves in our workshop in Alfreton, Derbyshire .

“As the UK window and door market has always been distinct to that of continental Europe, we believe it is all the more important that it is serviced locally with product designs and detailing that reflect the unique heritage and architectural styles of the British Isles.  Over the past decade, imports have taken a large share of the UK market and this is threatening the authenticity and character of UK housing stock and the built environment,”

Andrew Madge, Managing Director of Gowercroft Joinery.
