Windows for barn conversions - when Lynnic Associates had the idea to build a ‘million pound home’ they knew they needed some very special doors and windows. The windows for this barn conversion had to be the perfect blend of modern-meets-traditional in these luxury homes with bags of style and character.

Windows for Barn Conversions – the Million Pound Home

“I wanted to build a million pound house” was the vision of Stephen Corrigan – owner of Lynnic Associates Ltd. Gowercroft helped him achieve his goal providing the doors and windows for his barn conversion project.

They contacted Gowercroft in Spring 2017 when they were in the first stages of their large development project. The project was to build four new build barn conversions style dwellings in rural Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Initially they asked us at Gowercroft to quote for the largest of the four dwellings – which was to become their own home.

Making a Statement with the Front Door

To build a million pound home you need quality in every aspect of the design and construction. First impressions last so it was decided that the entrance to the property needed to be really special, Lynnic needed to source a highly bespoke statement front door.

A highly distinctive door was designed and installed. A flush timber door with randomised vertical grooves, Tectus 3D concealed hinges and no handle inside or out. just a rebated finger pull – very unusual!

Traditional AND Modern Barn Conversion Windows

Steve and Nicola were more than happy with the initial installation and commissioned Gowercroft to provide the windows and doors for the remaining 3 properties. These installations were typical of modern barn conversions with square opening windows and large fixed glazed screens and a mix of glazed and full timber doors. Everything was finished in ultra – modern Slate Grey.

The windows for this barn conversion came from our Hardwick flush casement range, our Melbourne entrance doors and some highly bespoke items, including the large glazed screens.
